Our Scripture reading today is Hebrews 1:3, "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"
The only One Who could purge sinners of the guilt and shame of their sin was and is the sinless Son of God. He was and is the sacrifice slain before the foundation of the world. He was and is the way, the truth and the life. As Christians, we are living in freedom because God's love was expressed to us in the gift of eternal life. Our hope will always be in Jesus Christ!
I love the ending of this verse..."Sat down..." The work of redemption was complete. Hallelujah!! This a position of power and majesty. He is far above all creation and yet He humbled Himself so we could have a relationship with the Father. What a Saviour!!
