Our Scripture reading today is John 1:10-12.
Verse 12, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"
The message of salvation is one of great simplicity. We receive the message. We, by faith, believe the message. Finally, God welcomes us into His family. It is simple to be forgiven and born again due to the price that Jesus Christ paid on the cross. He gave His life that we might live for all eternity. He gave up His home in Heaven for 33 years that sinners might have the opportunity to live in Heaven for all eternity.
Everyone who has been born again by the Spirit of God is called to deliver this simple message to those who are lost. Romans 10:14, "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" Please do not get hung up on the word, preacher. This is simply someone who heralds or delivers a message. It is not reserved only for the pastor of a Bible preaching church. We are almost at the half way point of 2022. Have you delivered more or less of the truth than at this time last year?
