Our Scripture reading today is John 13:33-35.
Verse 34, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."
The love theme continues this week.  God is definitely emphasizing this topic.  Are we listening?  Are we allowing His Spirit to love others through us?
The Word of God makes it clear that God loves us!  He loves us without any special agreements on our part.  His love is eternal.  Jesus is speaking in the text above and He instructs us how to love one another.  It is not our love to give.  We have His love to give.  If we allow Him to, God enables us to love.  Am I always lovely?  No.  Are you always lovely?  No.  Does this change whether God loves us or not? No.  Should it change whether we love one another?  NO!
In verse 33, we are referred to as "little children."  It is our responsibility to follow the example set forth by our Heavenly Father.  He always provides the way to love; no matter how we are being treated by others.  Jesus Christ is only a few days away from giving His life in order to redeem all sinners.  In many cases, sinners that would never receive Him and die and go to hell.  This is the example we are to follow.  Loving others when it may never be returned.
