Our Scripture reading today is John 14:27-29.
Verse 27, "Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
As we begin this new month, I would like to encourage you to make it a month of PEACE. The Lord Jesus said He was leaving His peace with us. The indwelling Holy Spirit of God is producing fruit in the life of every believer. Galatians 5:22, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, PEACE..." No doubt there are numerous ways the devil will seek to take away our peace. The devil brings fear into our focus in order to take our eyes off of the Prince of Peace. (See Isaiah 9:6) Make a concentrated effort to read God's Word more this month as well as spend additional time in prayer. God provides a peace that will far exceed our understanding. (See Philippians 4:7)
