Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
Verse 5, "Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;"
Many people today are only concerned about looking out for number one.  This means making sure I am taken care of and that I have the best of everything.  The person I have just described is someone who seeks their won.  They are not filled with the love of God.  God's love flowing through us will produce an others way of thinking.  We will always be looking for ways to help others first.  Romans 12:10, "Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;"  This love is not natural, but it is the fruit of the Spirit mentioned first that we were given at salvation.  Galatians 5:22, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love..."
“Love is never satisfied but in the welfare, comfort, and salvation of all. That man is no Christian who is solicitous for his own happiness alone; and cares not how the world goes, so that himself be comfortable.” (Clarke)
