Our Scripture reading today is Luke 2:33-35.

Verse 33, "And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him."

These first time parents marvelled at what Simeon had to say about their baby boy.  Jesus was not just any baby and they were beginning to realize just Who they had in their home.  He was not simply their son, He was not only their Saviour, but the Saviour of the world.

We have the opportunity to learn more and more about Jesus Christ every day.  God's Word is filled with examples we can learn from by studying the earthly life and ministry of our Saviour.  There is no greater life changer than the Son of God.  He is still making all things new.  When someone comes humbly to Him, He will not turn them away.  I cannot think of something more thrilling than a lost sinner coming to the loving Saviour for forgiveness of sin and salvation.

I am thankful that He saved me and gave me a new life!  It is my prayer that I never lose the wonder of it all.

O, the wonder of it all! The wonder of it all!
Just to think that God loves me.
O, the wonder of it all! The wonder of it all!
Just to think that God loves me. (G. Beverly Shea)
