Today's Scripture reading is Exodus 18:21-22.
Verse 21 - "...men of truth..."
John 8:32 tells us that truth sets us free and John 17:17 tells us that truth sanctifies us. Jesus said in John 14:6, He is the Truth! We cannot get away from the importance of truth. Truth is in God's Word and God's Word is truth. The closer we are to truth the easier it will be to discern error. We have an enemy that is completely the opposite of truth. The devil is the father of all lies. Daily, he is attempting to deceive into following his direction. In order to see through his lies, we need to be immersed in truth. Truth never changes from generation to generation. Truth is not relative. The lost world needs God's people to be men and women of the truth!
