Our Scripture reading today is John 6:9-11.

Verse 11, "And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would."

What seemed to be an insignificant amount of food, turned out to be all that was needed to feed thousands of people.  The key to this miracle is that the insignificant amount of food was place into some very significant hands.  Jesus Christ needed whatever the young lad had.  He needed nothing more or nothing less.

There have been many times in my life when I have felt insignificant to the task at hand.  God was bringing me to a place of dependence on Him.  This is a good place to be.  I am sure you have been there before as well.  Once we stop relying on self and relying on Him, He can do a significant work in and through our lives.  We must be willing by faith to give the Lord what we have and let Him do the impossible.
