Our Scripture reading today is Luke 2:15-17.

Verse 17, "And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child."

What better example can we follow than that of the shepherds in Luke 2.  They see baby Jesus and immediately become the first missionaries by telling anyone and everyone what they had experienced.  These shepherds had a testimony and they did not hesitate to share it.

On this Christmas morning, I am reminded of the many precious people in my life who have shared this same message with me.  They spread the same message abroad because they too had a personal testimony.  The story of Jesus Christ impacted them in such a way that it burned within their hearts and they needed to tell others.  If your life has been changed by the Lord Jesus, are you making your testimony known to others?  Just like John the Baptist, we must be a voice preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  John 1:23, "He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias."

Merry Christmas!
