It is the Lord's Day!

Our Scripture reading today is 1 Kings 18:14-16.
Verses 14-15, "And now thou sayest, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here: and he shall slay me. And Elijah said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, I will surely shew myself unto him to day."
God allowed this unplanned meeting to take place between Obadiah and Elijah.  This was the time in Elijah's life that he was a wanted man.  He had prophesied that it would not rain again until he said it would rain.  It could have been the end for Elijah, but God had more for him to do.  There were additional messages that needed to be delivered.
If you are a child of God and reading this, God has additional messages that you need to deliver.  God has Divine appointments for you.  It is true there will be many like Ahab who do not agree with or even hate the message we are delivering.  Our responsibility is not to convince someone of the truth or validity of the message, but we are to faithfully, compassionately, and boldly proclaim it.  1 Peter 3:15, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:"
See you at church.
