Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 8:17, "I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me."
What is something you ask God for every day?  I am sure each us has a list and many things on our list would be the same.  Our verse this morning reminds us of the importance of asking for wisdom as often as possible.  In fact, it might be something we need to ask for more than once a day.  The sooner we recognize that we are completely incapable of leading our own lives, the better off we will be.  God is more than willing to provide us with all the wisdom we need.  James 1:5, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
Our world is filled with knowledge.  Our world is filled with very intelligent people.  This does not mean our world is filled with wisdom.  "Knowledge is raw information but wisdom knows how to use it.  Knowledge is the ability to take things apart, but wisdom is the ability to put things together."  Wisdom gives us an eternal perspective on what is happening in our lives.  Are you about to make a life changing decision?  I would advise seeking God for wisdom before making that decision.  Wisdom helps us to see beyond the surface of any situation.  Wisdom...ask God for it every day!
