Our Scripture reading today is Luke 24:42-43.
Verse 43, "And he took it, and did eat before them."
The act of eating in their presence would help to identify that this was truly the same man they had followed for three years. They had most likely seen Him eat at least once a day. The Lord Jesus is making it easy for His followers to know it is really Him. He is revealing Himself to them.
God is not in hiding. God has never been in hiding. He has revealed Himself to mankind from the time our conception. We have the knowledge of God written on our hearts. Romans 1:19, "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them." We also have creation to show is there is a God. Romans 1:20, "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"
God continues to reveal Himself today through His Word. Let's take every opportunity we can to plant His Word along the path God leads us.
