Our Scripture reading today is Hebrews 4:12-13.

Verse 13, "Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do."
Our great God knows and sees all.  He is omniscient.  As much as some have tried, nothing can be hidden from God.  He sees our heart and knows exactly what we need and don't need.  Revelation 2:23, "And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works."
The context is also referring to how His Word is revealing and exposing.  Notice the word, "open".  It translates the ancient Greek word trachelizo, used only here in the New Testament.  It was used of wrestlers who had a hold that involved gripping the neck and was so powerful that it brought victory. So the word can mean “to prostrate” or “to overthrow”.  God's Word always has the power to change lives.  God is drawing us closer to Himself by revealing things in our lives that need to be removed and or added.  He knows you better than you know you.
