Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 15:58, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
Does it really help to give out Gospel tracts? Is my service at church really needed? There must be an easier way to live for God?
Maybe you have asked yourself or someone else a question similar to the ones listed above. These types of questions are placed in our hearts by the one enemy we as believers all have. Satan is constantly looking for ways to discourage God's people from living for and serving Him. If He isn't trying today, He will be by tomorrow.
Our Scripture verse today is one that needs to be memorized and meditated on regularly. May God help us at Anchor Baptist Church to faithfully preach TRUTH. Whether it appears anyone is listening or not, our labour for the Lord will never be in vain. Might I remind us all that we may never know who WAS listening until we are in Heaven. By the way, the first two questions above are YES and the third is NO.
