Our Scripture reading today is 2 Timothy 4:6-8.
Verse 7 - "I have finished my course,"
The Apostle Paul is coming close to the end of his life on earth. This particular statement has always stood out to me when reading this chapter. The fact that the Holy Spirit chose to remind Paul and us that our journey in life is specific. He has us on a specific course. I am not on your course and you are not on mine. While God loves the world, we can be assured that God loves us individually. A worthwhile goal is finishing our course with the joy of the Lord. May we strive to be faithful each and every day that we have left on our course. This will happen as we turn our attention to each and every day. Psalm 118:24, "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." God has something specific planned for you today!
