Our Scripture reading today is Luke 23:22-24.

Verse 23, "And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed."

The enemies of the Gospel were quick to raise their voices in opposition to the ministry of the Lord Jesus.  These religious voices overruled anything that Pilate wanted to do.  Jesus is going to be crucified one way or another.

We as followers of Jesus Christ all have a voice that must be used to speak about Him and the truth of the Word of God.  John the Baptist referred to himself as a voice crying in the wilderness.  His message was loud and clear.  It may feel like we are in the wilderness, but we still have a voice.  By the grace of God and power of the Holy Spirit, we need to use our voices to preach the same message as John the Baptist!
