Our Scripture reading today is Luke 4:4, "And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God."
The Lord Jesus left us with an example to follow when temptation comes our way. He overcame the Tempter with the Word of God. Had He used some miraculous power, we would not have been able to relate. We have the Word of God and must choose to live by it every day. If we are ignorant of the powerful truths found in the Word of God, it is due to lack time spent consuming all that God has for us. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we have been given every tool necessary to live a victorious Christian life. Make the wise choice today to put those tools to use and watch Satan and his host flee away.
