Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 143:4, "Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate."
The psalmist is describing a time and place that we can all relate to. He cannot bare to
take on one more problem or difficulty. Life can definitely be overwhelming at times.
Possibly, you are there now. What should the Christian do in a time like this? It is not
time to look around and worry. It IS time to look up and trust the ways of God.
Proverbs 3:5, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."
Our God is working a work that is difficult to see or
comprehend. He can be trusted to work all things together for our good and his glory.
