Today's Scripture reading is Exodus 12:11-13.
Verse 11, "And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover."
The children of Israel were to be prepared for their departure from Egypt. God had promised their deliverance and He would fulfill His promise. In John 14:3, the Lord Jesus makes a promise..."I will come again..." We as God's children need to prepare for our departure. By departure, I am referring to either our physical death or the Rapture of the church. God has promised us an eternal home in Heaven through the Lord Jesus.
Are we ready to meet God? Is there anything that needs to be made right with Him? I am not saying you need to get saved again, but I am saying that we need to make preparation for our sudden departure. Jesus Christ is coming!
