Our Scripture reading today is Luke 8:14-15.

Verse 15, "But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience."

The last word of verse 15 is still something I am asking for on a regular basis...PATIENCE! In this text of Scripture, patience is needed when we are seeking to bring forth fruit. Whether we are a farmer or a follow of Jesus Christ, there is a goal of bearing fruit and even bearing much fruit. I would guess that the disciples also needed this parable in their day. Not everyone was responding to Christs' message and not everyone responds to the Gospel today. There will be fruit in God's time. He is in complete control and the harvest will come.

My encouragement to you today is to keep planting the Gospel seeds and praying for the time of harvest.  Whether it is in your home, place of employment, or ministry at church, it is imperative that we labour in prayer asking God for the fruit that remains.  There is a time for planting and a time for reaping.  1 Corinthians 3:6-7, "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase."

Stay at the task God has given you and patiently pray for His harvest!!
