Our Scripture reading today is Hebrews 13:14-16.
Verse 16, "But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."
One of the most important goals we should have as a follower of Jesus Christ is to please God.  Far too many times our desires get in the way of His will.   The Apostle Paul wrote about this in Colossians 1:10, "That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;".  Children are told it is pleasing to the Lord when they obey their parents - Colossians 3:20, "Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord."
In verse 16 of Hebrews 13, we are challenged to do good and fellowship or share with one another.  In doing so, we are pleasing God.  The prophet Micah records it this way in chapter 6 verse 8, "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"  If we are doing something we are going to be active.  As we start into the "work" week, let's be active in doing good and sharing with others around us.
