Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 50:21-23.
Verse 23, "Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me:"
The word praise means to express approval of our admiration of; commend. There is no doubt to me that we all appreciate being praised from time to time. Our heartfelt praise and worship are to be given to our Heavenly Father. His character alone are worthy of all the praise and more that He receives. The Doxology adds additional reasons why we praise God: "Praise God from Whom all blessings flow." We are a privileged people to have been given much. 1 Timothy 6:17 tells us that God "giveth us richly all thing to enjoy." Don't let a day go by without taking several opportunities to give God the praise He deserves. Take a few minutes today and write down a praise list.
