Our Scripture reading today is 1 Samuel 2:1-3.
Verse 1, "And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation."
The more we invest in a life of prayer, the more our heart will have reason to rejoice.  God answers prayer!  God is in control.  Hannah is giving testimony to this fact in these verses of Scripture.  In times of difficulty, she prayed.  In times of despair, she prayed.  In times of deliverance, she prayed!  Hannah prayed and it led to a time of praising and rejoicing.
We like the praising and rejoicing part.  In order to get to the rejoicing, there is the labour of love in prayer.  Prayer is mainly a private matter.  Yes, we do pray during church services and activities.  We should be praying at the table before a meal, but the labour of prayer is usually done in private.  I want to encourage you to keep praying.  I want to encourage you to start praying again.  The Wednesday night prayer page is a good place to start.  When is the last time you prayed over it or even called out each name to the only One Who can answer?  The new missionary booklet is another resource to use for prayer.  If I could encourage you every Saturday to prayer for Sunday's services.  We need God's power and it can only come through prayer.  The more we ask, the more we have to give Him praise for.  God answers prayer!!
