Our Scripture reading today is Isaiah 65:23-24.
Verse 24, "And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear."
God answers prayer! How many times have we read it in Scripture? How many times have we heard it at church? How many books or devotionals have we read that mention prayer and how God answers? Whether it is one or 100, I am quite sure most reading this know that God does answer prayer.
Next question...how often do you pray? The answer to that question will tell you how dependent you are on God or on self. We all NEED God. Paul challenges us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, "Pray without ceasing." All of God's children are given the same opportunity every day. We are able to enter the holy of holies in Heaven through our Saviour, Jesus Christ. The access we have been given is to be claimed boldly. Hebrew 4:16, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
As the hymn writer wrote, "Why worry when you can pray!"
