Our Scripture reading today is Luke 2:27-32.
Verse 31, "Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;"
Simeon's words regarding the Gospel message still ring true thousands of years later. The Gospel is not man's message. It is not the churches message. Almighty God prepared the message of the Gospel through His Son, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:6, "For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly." Jesus Christ paid a debt He did not owe. He paid my debt and yours!
We do have the great privilege and responsibility of telling as many people as possible about the Good News. Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Have you told anyone recently about the preparations God made for their sins to be forgiven?
