Our Scripture reading today is Philippians 3:13, 14.
Verse 14, "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
The Apostle Paul is sitting in a prison writing this letter to the church at Philippi.  Think with me about verse 14 in the context of where Paul is residing.  In spite of being in prison, Paul is still pressing.  What does this mean?  Paul is still seeking to advance or to move forward in the will of God for his life.  He is more concerned with faithfully following Jesus Christ than he is with the place he pillows his head at night.
There is always something we can learn from the examples given to us in the Word of God.  No matter the circumstances that surround us today, we can and should be pressing toward the mark of seeing God's will fulfilled.  There could be something you are holding onto that needs to be once and for all given to the Lord.  Give it to Him today and get back to pressing toward the mark!
