Our Scripture reading today is Luke 10:23-24.

Verse 24, "For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them."

What a privilege it was for these 70 disciples to see and hear the Lord Jesus.  He was the One the OT prophets wrote about would come and be their Messiah.  They were blessed with a privilege that I am sure many others who came before them would have loved to have had.

We are living in an amazing time period.  The entire Word of God is complete and we have it to read, study, memorize, and meditate on.  2 Peter 1:19, "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:"  God dwells in us in the Person of the Holy Spirit.  This allows us to do greater works for the glory of God.  John 14:12, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

Let us all strive to be faithful servants and to give God all the glory!
