Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 29:25, "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe."
There is a contrast in this verse between someone who fears man and someone who trusts in the LORD.  It can clearly be seen that to put our complete trust in the LORD has a far greater result (safety) than fearing man (snare).  Once again we are presented with a decision.  It is our choice whether we will fear man or trust in the LORD.
When we put our trust in the LORD we are demonstrating our faith in Him.  We cannot see Him, but we still trust Him.  His promise is our safety.  He does not promise everything we want, but He does promise our safety.  Psalm 4:8, "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety."  Proverbs 21:31, "The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD."  Our God will faithfully take care of His children.  We are secure and safe in His almighty hands!
