Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 6:7-9.
Verse 7, "With good will doing service, as to the Lord and not unto men:"
The Christian life is one that ought to be filled with service. Not that we are looking to be served, but that we are always looking for ways we can serve others. In every relationship, serving is needed. Our serving of others should be with the mindset that we are serving the Lord. This is the message the church at Ephesus received from the Apostle Paul. This prevents us from being upset and even bitter if our service goes unnoticed. Whether we are serving a family member at home or a "family" member at church, it must be done as unto the Lord. We read in Matthew 23:11, "But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant."
Take time to serve someone today and give the Lord all the glory!
