Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."

We have an opportunity to daily use our mouth to be an encourager or a discourager.  The choice is up to us.  Our flesh will choose to lash out at someone without even thinking about what we are saying.  If we want to follow Paul's admonition, it will require us to yield our tongue over to the Holy Spirit.  He will lead us to think before speaking.  He will lead us to speak the truth in love.  Colossians 4:6, "Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man."
