Our Scripture reading today is 2 Corinthians 13:8-10.
Verse 8, "For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth."
Jesus Christ said in John 14:6 that He was the way, the truth and the life. Truth never changes and it will never fail. It matters not who or what attacks truth. We have the great privilege and responsibility to not only obey the truth, but give the truth out every where we go. The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Timothy 2:7, "Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity."
Truth is not decided by what we feel is right. Truth is decided by a fixed point of reference and that being the Word of God. In order to know truth, we need to know more of God's Word. God reveals and confirms truth in His Word. Our world is lacking in truth because it has rejected God's Word. We must use every opportunity we have to plant God's Word in the hearts of people around us.
