Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 2:1-5.
Verse 5, "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."
The only faith that will stand when testing comes is faith that is standing in the power of God. The place to anchor our faith is the Word of God. God's Word will provide everything we need to grow spiritually in our walk with God. If we are willing to dedicate ourselves to His Word, we will grow and be strong. There is no question in my mind that the main reason someone is not growing in the Lord is because they have very little time for His Word. Let me make a suggestion. For one week, keep track of your Bible time. This would include Bible reading, Bible study, listening to preaching and teaching, or any other time given to God's Word. If there is a time in our lives that we need strong faith, it is NOW. Our faith will be strengthened if we allow the Word of God infiltrate our lives each and every day.
