Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 26:27, "Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him."
There are a couple Biblical examples of this proverb come to mind - Haman (Esther 7) and Daniel's enemies (Daniel 6).  Haman would be hung on the gallows he had made for Mordecai and the enemies of Daniel would be tossed into the den of lions where Daniel slept peacefully.  These individuals allowed their pride to get the best of them.  It was unknown to them, but they were digging their own graves.  Psalm 7:15-16, "He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate."
A New Testament comparison to this Scripture is Galatians 6:7, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."  Today would be a good day to put down your shovel and stop rolling a stone.  Let God make whatever wrong is in your life right.  He works everything together for our good and His glory.
