Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 2:8-10.
Verse 10, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
No amount of good works or deeds will gain someone entrance into Heaven. There are no scales in Heaven weighing our good and bad works to see if we make it. The only way for a sinner to enter into Heaven is through Jesus Christ. He is and always will be the way, the truth and the life. It is by the grace of God that anyone is in Heaven today.
After our salvation, good works will become a part of our daily life. This is why we were saved. It is our duty and privilege to bring glory to our Heavenly Father. Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." My salvation should be more to me than a fire insurance policy. It should be what motivates me to surrender my life to the LORD each and every day. Missions Conference 2021 is upon us. Now is the time to fill in the missing blank and make up the gap. Labourers are needed in the army of the LORD. Now is the time to surrender your life to your Father in Heaven.
