Our Scripture reading today is 2 Corinthians 5:8-10.
Verse 10, "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."
There are two "judgments" in eternity.  One is for the unbelievers (Great White Throne, Revelation 20:11-15) and one is for the believers.  The Apostle Paul is writing to the church at Corinth about the Judgment Seat of Christ.  This judgment is for all believers and is for our works. Praise God our sins were judged on the cross! (Romans 5:8)  "The phrase judgment seat is a single word in the ancient Greek language of the New Testament. Bema literally means “step,” as in a raised platform or seat. This was where a Roman magistrate sat to act as a judge. The bema was “an object of reverence and fear to all the people.” (Hodge)
Our works and the motives for those works will be judged here.  It is possible to be saved and live a wasted life.  The judgment for this will take place here.  Why wouldn't a saved sinner want to serve the Lord?  Considering all that we were saved from it is the least we can do for Him.  Hebrews 6:10, "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister."  I would also encourage you to read 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 and consider the motive for why you serve the Lord.  It is quite possible some will arrive at this judgment thinking they have great rewards coming when in fact they have little or none.  God alone is worthy of anything we can do for HIS glory!
