Our Scripture reading today is Haggai 2:6-9.
Verse 7, "And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts."
The desire of all nations is none other than the Messiah. Whether the nations know it or not, Jesus Christ is the desire of all nations. He is the only One Who can make all wrongs right. He is the only One Who always does what is right. True peace is only found in Him! His first coming was to be the sacrificial lamb. His second coming will not include Calvary, but will include His ruling and reigning.
We live in a world that has great needs. The greatest need is Jesus Christ. As followers of Jesus Christ, we must have a desire to tell all nations of His love for them. It must be our daily prayer and labour. Romans 10:14, "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" By God's grace, we can be a voice crying, "Jesus Saves!", in our cities and towns.
