Our Scripture reading today is Judges 7:21-22.

Verse 22, "And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath."

The final number of soldiers really wasn't the main issue.  Would Gideon and the soldiers follow the instructions given to them or would they come up with their own plan?  The battle plan they were given was not a familiar one.  If you have not read Judges 7, now would be a good time to read it.  It was not a battle plan at all.  However, it was from God and His plan always works out best for us.

Could it be that God is asking you to do something that does not make any sense at all?  Could it be that God is leading you to step out by faith in a certain matter?  There is no greater life and more challenging life than the "faith" life.  The 300 soldiers in our text had never heard of such a military strategy and yet, they won the battle!  We should say, "God enabled them to win the battle."  If you are willing to follow His plan, God will do the same for you today.
