Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 68:19, "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our salvation. Selah."
There is a beautiful promise in this verse of the eternal and physical blessings of the
LORD. We are told that God provides our salvation. Jesus Christ's death, burial,
and resurrection made the gift of eternal life possible for all who will believe. Once
received, the gift of salvation can never be taken away from us. The second promise
revolves around the supply of our daily needs. If God is our heavenly Father, we have
all that we need.
Taking all of this into consideration should lead us to a spirit of thanksgiving and
praise. Give God thanks all throughout the day. Thank Him for a new day. Thank Him
for His daily mercy and grace. It is time rejoice and be glad in the LORD!
