Our Scripture reading today is John 10:8-11.
Verse 10, "I am come that they might have life,"
The Lord Jesus Christ and life are synonymous with one another. John 14:6, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life:" He is the life because of His death, burial and resurrection. A very high price was paid that we might have an abundant life as well as eternal life. It is through the Lord Jesus that we can have eternal life in Heaven. John 3:15, "That whososever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." It behooves us to use the one life we have for the glory of God. (See 1 Corinthians 6:19-20) We must give our lives back to the One Who can mold it and make it into a vessel unto honour.
