Our Scripture reading today is Hebrews 4:12, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
God's Word is the only book of its kind. It is alive and it has the power to make alive those who are dead in their trespasses and sins. The Bible, as we call it, has everything we need to be successful in the Christian life. Joshua 1:8, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
We are to read God's Word every day not just to acquire information. We should be reading the Bible and praying that God's Spirit would transform us from the inside out. The Word of God will always give us the power we need to have daily victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil.
