Our Scripture reading today is John 14:1-6.
Verse 6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Since the fall in the Garden of Eden, mankind has come up with many different "ways" to come to God.  Each one of these 'ways' all involve something we can do to earn favour with God, and yet Jesus Christ makes it very clear that He is the way to the Father.  John 14:6 is the simple and the powerful all in one verse of Scripture.  I would like to encourage you to commit this verse to memory and share it with others who are depending on their good works and religious tradition to take them to Heaven.
The way of Jesus Christ was the cross.  The cross allowed Him to be the way for sinners like you and me to come God.  He took the death penalty that our sin caused.  2 Corinthians 5:21, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."  He willingly suffered that we might be saved.
All roads may lead to Rome, but the only road that leads to Heaven is through the Son of God!
