Our Scripture reading today is 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17.
Verse 14, "Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."
The gospel that Paul preached is the same gospel message we are privileged to preach and teach over two thousand years later.  It is the only way to obtain salvation.  1 Thessalonians 5:9, "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,"  It is the only way to obtain the glory of the Lord Jesus.
God is still calling people to be saved.  God's love for the lost has not changed.  The people of Thessalonica needed someone to go and tell them the life changing message.  The people in our communities have the same need.  Romans 10:14, "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"
The Gospel will always have the power to bring conviction and conversion.  We must be faithful to give it out every opportunity we get.
