Our Scripture reading today is Luke 2:15-18.
Verse 17, "And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child."
Have you heard about the Son of God being born of the virgin Mary? Have you heard about His sinless life and vicarious death for all sinners? Have you, by faith, received His gift of eternal life? Have you heard about His resurrection? If you answered...yes, yes, yes, yes then what should you do now? The shepherd's example in Luke 2 is the answer to that question. Everything they knew about Jesus, they told to everyone.
How much do you speak of Jesus? How many people at work know you are not just a church goer, but a follower of Jesus Christ? I must say they are many church goers that a in no way a follower of Jesus Christ and many are not even saved. I am captivated once again by the Scriptural account of Jesus Christ birth and all that took place. Today, especially I am reminded of the voice of the shepherds.
Romans 10:14, "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
