Our Scripture reading today is 2 Corinthians 12:7-9.

Verse 9, "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

If you started at the end of this verse, you would find what all the followers of Jesus Christ need - His power.  We need the power of Jesus Christ every day.  The way Paul describes how we get this power is not one we quickly sign up for.  The power we all so desperately need comes through our glorying in the infirmities of our life.  When we are thankful for the weaknesses of our lives, it will allow His power to be known.  The reason for this is that Jesus Christ would get all the glory.  It will be so clear to us when we are weak that His power enabled us to continue to move forward by faith.

Don't run from the challenges.  Embrace them and be thankful in them.  Don't run from the fire.  Embrace it and be thankful in it.  Soon will come the power needed to be more than a conqueror for His glory and honour!
