Our Scripture reading today is Luke 24:44, "And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me."

We can confidently say that the overall theme of Scripture points to the Lord Jesus Christ.  He reminds His disciples that He had told them the message of His death and resurrection as written by the what we know to be the Old Testament prophets.  If they needed a reminder, how much more do we need one?  If the Son of God emphasized the Word of God, we surely can and should emphasize it more.

The life changing message that the Lord Jesus delivered is the same message we are to deliver today.  My words will not change anyone's life, but the Word of God will do miracles in anyone's life.  We are coming into the time of year when people are more open to receive things.  Let's use this openness to get God's Word out in a greater way.  We have two different Christmas tracts that can be picked up this Sunday for use as the Lord leads.  God's Word changes lives!
