Our Scripture reading today is Isaiah 59:16, "And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him."
What a sad state for the people of God. No man could be found to be their intercessor. They had no leaders to lead them to making things right with God. No man and no intercessor to help the people. We would be in this same condition had the arm of God not brought salvation to us. We, too, needed a saviour and intercessor. Jesus Christ came that we might have more abundant life.
Our homes and churches are need of God's people to lead the way to righteousness. The next generation must see why we should live according to the Word of God and how it is to be accomplished. It is time to humble ourselves, pray, and seek God's face for a revival.
