Our Scripture reading today is Jeremiah 17:5-8.
Verse 7, "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is."
The end result of who or what we trust in is clearly defined for us in these verses.  Do we want to be cursed or blessed?  Do we want to be empty or full?  The answers to these and many other questions are found in who we decide to place our trust in.  Will we continue to plow through life attempting to make a way, or will we yield to our God and place our complete trust in Him?  Our ego has been known to get in the way of what God is teaching us.  He is the One Who gives us the strength to live and yet we someone how think we cannot trust Him.  Do you see how almost humorous that sounds?
Jeremiah reminds us of what we will experience if we trust in man or in God.  There is great joy and hope that accompany our complete trust in the Lord.  He promises to direct our daily path.  Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."  We cannot allow our pride to keep us yielding every area of our lives over to the One Who daily loads us with benefits.  Our Heavenly Father is trustworthy!!
