Today’s Scripture reading is 2 Chronicles 6:38-39.
Verse 38, "If they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul..."
In the very next chapter in verse 14, we read, "If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."  Repentance is prerequisite for revival.  There can be no revival without a brokenness over our personal and national sin.  I am sure you would agree that we as God's children need a spiritual revival.  As we saw from Acts 2, we need the mighty power of the Holy Spirit that is accompanied by the filling of the Holy Spirit.  This will NOT take place inside of a dirty vessel.  When we turn from our sin and return to the Lord, reviving begins.  Personal revival is always the start of a church and national revival.  May we all say today, "Lord, send a revival and let it begin in me".
