Our Scripture reading today is Luke 11:16-18.
Verse 17, "But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth."
Why would Satan go against himself and his demons? If he did, his kingdom would be divided and it would soon fall. We can learn from this Bible event the importance of unity in the army of the Lord. The attack from our enemy does not always come from without. Unfortunately, too many Christians have been guilty of attacking their own. Satan does not need our help in bringing discouragement to the cause of Christ.
Our days should be filled with working together with our church family to see the cause of Christ advancing. Philippians 1:27, "Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;." God uses all of His children in different and unique ways. It is very important that we walk together seeking to bring much glory and honour to the LORD!
