Our Scripture reading today is Numbers 14:7-9.

Verse 9, "Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not."
Far too many born again believers are living in fear.  What might happen today?  Will I get sick this week?  The presence of the Creator God in our life should be enough to remove all fear.  The LORD was with Israel in Canaan and the LORD is with us today.  The battleground for fear always begins in our mind.  In preparation for the attack of Satan, we must be renewing our mind continually.  Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."  Renewing means is to renovate; a complete change for the better.
In addition to renewing our mind, we will need a renewed level of strength.  The attack of our enemy is constant, but we are not alone in the battle.  Isaiah 40:31, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
The land we are waiting and longing for isn't quite the same as the one mentioned in our reading today.  We do, however, have the very same promise found in John 14:3, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
May today be a day of renewing our minds and strength as we anticipate the soon return of our LORD and Saviour, Jesus Christ!
Victory is ours!
